If your business already has an established brand but you're needing a bit of design help on an ongoing basis, a design retainer with A. Cardillo Design might be what your company needs. Retainers are great options for businesses with varied, ongoing design and marketing needs, and for those wanting consistent content from a designer who understands their brand. Please note that design retainers are only offered to returning brand and web design clients. 

Value: Plan your project deadlines with peace of mind. Pay a set amount every month and for the remainder of your retainer. Gain access and benefits of a professional in-house designer without having to hire one full-time.

Deliverables Include (but aren’t limited to):

• Print Materials: Line sheets, mailers, brochures, booklets, event collateral, signage, stationery, presentations, pattern/merchandise, editorial design, packaging 

• Digital Materials: Email design and templates, social media graphics, web graphics, eBooks

• Website Upkeep: Site updates and maintenance

• Photography: Photo retouching, resizing, silhouetting, editing

Every project is different based on the scope of work and timeline. These details will be discussed during our discovery call and if all sounds good, a proposal will be sent your way to approve before we get started.

We happily offer payment plans to all of our clients and never want a financial burden to keep you from investing in your business. A 25% deposit is required at the start of the project to secure your spot in the design queue, unless working on a retainer contract. Any remaining amounts will be made due before the delivery of final files.

Typically, the studio books projects 2-3 months in advance. Once we talk and the deposit is paid, we’ll get you on the schedule. We do offer day rates for those clients with smaller projects and who may be in need of an expedited timeline. For more information, please see our Design Day Intensive, here.

Timelines are determined by the scope of work and the client’s ability to respond in a timely manner throughout the project. If you have a specific deadline that must be met, please bring this to our attention during our discovery call.

Final content must be ready to go before we can begin any designs. This includes items such as your business name, target audience, hi-res images, website copy, etc. If you’re struggling with any of these things, please reach out as we have a list of resources able to help guide you.

Rarely do we work with existing logos/brands because we believe in our process and the work that goes into it. That said, if you have an existing brand that you are passionate about building from, we’re happy to discuss your options and whether or not we’ll be a good fit. Retainer contracts are only made with returning brand & web design clients.

Shopify is our choice for product-based brands that are ready to start growing their business online. It has an easy-to-use backend so you (the client) can feel empowered to manage and maintain the site yourself. A few perks: Cloud-based and hosted, so you don’t have to worry about upgrading software or web servers, mobile responsive, SEO-friendly, thousands of options in app integrations, and outstanding customer support.

Yes, there are additional costs with becoming a Shopify member and we encourage our clients to research each plan to determine which would be the best fit for their business. Of course not! We offer 2 weeks of post-launch support. During this time, it’s important for you to ask all the questions and feel like you have control over your brand and website once we have finished our time together. We do, however, love to continue relationships with our clients post launch and many have returned to work with us on a monthly retainer.
