After launching their business in 2017, Miron Crosby quickly grew and became a force in the industry and well known in the fashion world collaborating with brands like Prabal Gurung and being featured in publications such as Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. With rapid growth and notoriety, the founders wanted to take their original brand, which played off of muted earth tones and Western Vibes, to something that felt more modern and luxe.
The photography for the brand is a mix of high fashion editorial looks shot against the backdrop of the Marfa desert, where the founders grew up. This unique juxtaposition is something we wanted to focus on while refreshing the look and feel of their brand, something that would reflect the authenticity of their southern roots and tie in the inspiration and creativity of New York City.
During the brand refresh phase, we decided to remove the earthy Western colors and bring in a more sophisticated palette, focusing primarily on black and white, which allows the brand photography to shine. A secondary palette was created to be used for social media graphics and collateral designs. A mix of bright, poppy and modern colors pulled from the exotic leathers of their boots.
We updated the typography to mix both serif and san serif fonts, again, to play on the juxtaposition of the brand and also seen in the photography. The combination chosen feels modern and elevated, a beautiful balance of fonts that complement each other well. Finally, we pulled in an authentic feeling, handwritten script for a more personal touch.
After completing the brand update, we integrated the new look onto their website. We created better functionality which allows for a greater user experience from start to finish. Bold photography, clean layouts, an elevated presence that feels high fashion, and highly credible. A whole new program was designed for the site which allows users to personalize and monogram their boot ear pulls prior to check out.
